TB’s Famous Spicy Marg

Serves 1 large margarita

2 oz. jalapeño-infused tequila

2 oz. Grand Marnier

2 oz. lime juice

1 1/2 oz. simple syrup (can buy or make, see blow)

3 dashes of Hella Cocktail smoked chili bitters (optional)

For the jalapeño-infused tequila:

Fill a mason jar (or any other jar) with tequila and cut up a jalapeño into pieces (remove seeds) and place in a jar. This can be done any where from 10 minutes - 2 hours before, just depends on what level of spiciness you want. Remove from jar and store up to three months in the fridge!

For the simple syrup:

You can buy simple syrup from the store, buy I prefer to make my own because it is SO EASY and cheap. Put equal amounts of sugar and water in a pot and let it come to a boil. Stir and let simmer until fully dissolved. Let cool before using and store in a jar.

Note: for the lime juice, I like to use real limes if only making for one or two people but if making for a crowd, I buy the bottled stuff. It's waaaay too time consuming to juice dozens of limes.

Combine all ingredients into a Boston Shaker of sorts and fill with an ample amount of ice. Shake until you can feel the container start to get cold. Pour into a glass over one large ice cube. Serve!
